Prof. Gnjatović was involved with a number of research and industry-standard projects in the fields of artificial intelligence, natural language processing, image processing, robotics and distributed information systems. - "Design of Robots as Assistive Technology for the Treatment of Children with Developmental Disorders", sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia under the Research Grant III44008. Prof. Gnjatović was leader of the subproject "Multimodal Human-Machine Interaction".
- "Development of Dialogue Systems for Serbian and Other South Slavic Languages", sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia under the Research Grant TR32035.
